Event Highlights
SPRING INTO BLOOM 2025:
We’re still glowing from the joy and connection we felt at our recent Spring into Bloom Tea and Luncheon! It was a beautiful day filled with laughter, music, delicious treats, and — most importantly — love and support for our shelter cats.
From the moment guests arrived, there was a wonderful sense of community in the air. Thanks to everyone who attended, donated, and volunteered, the event was a great success — and a true celebration of spring, compassion, and feline friendship.
Highlights of the Day Included:

🎁 A variety of exciting door prizes, including two generous gift baskets donated by Lynn.

🎨 Original paw-sitive artwork created by three of our resident cats — Dove, Lindsay, and Sunny — which were a big hit!

🎶 Beautiful live music by Matt and Peter, setting the perfect mood for the afternoon.

🍽️ Delicious food lovingly prepared and served by our incredible team of volunteers, who also took care of setup, cleanup, and everything in between.

✨ Elegant linens that helped set the tone for a lovely tea service, generously provided by Waggs.

🧁 Gorgeous and mouth-watering cupcakes provided by Oro Home Kitchen — they were almost too pretty to eat (almost!).

🎟️ A 50/50 draw with a touching twist — the winner generously donated their prize back to the shelter.
We are beyond grateful for the warmth and generosity shown by everyone who made this event so special. Events like these not only help raise much-needed funds for our furry residents but also strengthen the community around our mission.
To everyone who contributed time, talent, and heart — thank you. We're already looking forward to next year’s Spring Tea and hope to see even more familiar (and new!) faces. Until then, thank you for “springing into bloom” with us! 🌷🐱
GARAGE SALE & PLANT SALE 2025
We are so happy to look back on what turned out to be a truly amazing day—Saturday, June 14, was a huge success for the Comfie Cat Shelter!
It was a busy one for us, with both our Garage Sale and Plant Sale running at full speed. The turnout was incredible, and the support we received from the community absolutely warmed our hearts.
Garage Sale Highlights
Our Garage Sale was bustling all day long! Thanks to the generous donations from our supporters, we were able to offer a wide variety of items—from household goods to books, decor, and hidden gems that shoppers were excited to find. We’ve heard from so many people who left with special treasures and great bargains, and it’s all thanks to the amazing contributions we received.
One of the highlights of the garage sale was our lemonade stand, which was not just a refreshing stop for shoppers but also a meaningful one. All proceeds from the lemonade stand went directly toward Popeye’s dental surgery fundraiser, and thanks to the generosity of our visitors, we are now much closer to reaching our fundraising goal for his much-needed care.
Plant Sale Joy
Meanwhile, at the shelter, our Plant Sale was thriving! Garden lovers and plant enthusiasts stopped by to pick out beautiful additions for their homes and gardens. Whether it was a vibrant flower, a leafy green, or a tiny succulent, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
We were thrilled to see the plant sale bring so many people to the shelter, where they could not only support us through their purchases but also learn more about the cats currently waiting for their forever homes.
We truly can’t express how grateful we are to everyone who donated items, plants, time, and energy to make these events possible. Days like this remind us how lucky we are to have such a kind, supportive community behind us.
We are so thankful for each and every one of you who showed up, shopped, donated, sipped lemonade, and helped spread the word. Your support means the world to us and to the cats who rely on us every day.
