Do you have empty wine, beer, or liquor bottles and cans taking up space at home? Instead of tossing them in the bin, why not turn them into a way to help animals in need? By donating your refundable bottles and cans to the Comfie Cat Shelter, you’re directly supporting the lifesaving work we do every single day. Your empties are converted into refunds, and every dollar goes right back into helping the cats, from emergency vet visits to daily meals, medications, and the critical spay/neuter surgeries that prevent even more cats from ending up homeless. It’s one of the easiest, most eco-friendly ways to make a difference, you clear out your recyclables, and we turn them into care and comfort for cats waiting for their forever homes.
How it helps
When you drop off your bottles and cans, you’re doing so much more than recycling, you’re giving a second chance to the cats in our community. Here’s what those refunds make possible:

Veterinary care and medications: From routine checkups to urgent treatments, we make sure every cat gets the medical attention they need.

Nutritious food and essential supplies: Your donations help us keep every cat’s belly full and their litter boxes clean.

Spay and neuter surgeries: By preventing unwanted litters, we help break the cycle of stray and abandoned cats, keeping our community healthier for everyone.

If you need a pick up, please text Robert at 249-359-9135 to schedule a pick up time. He will arrange a time on Tuesdays or Wednesdays for him to pop over and pick up your bottles and cans. He will only do a pick up within Orillia.
