Make your kitty a star in our 2026 Calendar!

Winners of The Comfie Cat Shelter’s Calendar Contest will be featured on the monthly pages of our 2026 wall calendar—showing off their charm and personality. Whether you adopted your feline friend this year or many years ago, we invite you to submit a photo for our annual tradition

How to Enter:

Email your favourite feline photo to info@comfiecatshelter.ca
Use the subject line: Calendar Contest 2026
Be sure to read the Photo Guidelines below carefully to ensure your photo meets all requirements

What to Include in Your Email:

Why your cat is special to you
Your cat’s name, age, adoption date and if you know the cat's original name from Comfie Cat Shelter
Your full name for entry purposes (only your first name will be shared publicly)

Important:

Photos that do not meet the guidelines (see guidelines below) will be disqualified
We will not notify entrants if their photo has been disqualified

How to Win:

A link will be shared on August 4, 2025 via social media and one will be emailed to all participates who followed the photo guidelines and criteria. Share the voting link via email or on social media to your friends and family. Be sure to include the hashtags #TheComfieCatShelter #CCSPhotoContest. The top 12 voted cats will be featured in our monthly calendar. Voting is only accepted through the links provided.

Photo Submission:

Submissions Received: July 2, 2025 through July 31, 2025

Voting takes place: August 4, 2025 through August 31, 2025

Winners Notified: September 2 2025

Publication of the Calendar: Late September to early October

Photo Guidelines and Criteria

Photos may ONLY be submitted via email
Photos are not accepted by mail, or social media
LANDSCAPE orientation photos are used for our calendars (see examples below)
Any PORTRAIT orientation photos will be disregarded
Photo size submission MUST be a MINIMUM of 1mb (1000kb) to accommodate enlargement
Only ONE photo will be accepted per household
Photos of multiple cats in one photo are acceptable
Submit ONLY colour photos, black and white photos will be rejected
Submit ONLY original photo with no manipulations
Photo must be SHARP and IN FOCUS, blurry photos they will automatically be rejected
Properly 'set the scene' for the photo, as its 'story' is very important
Photo MUST be taken by YOU or your friend/relative, and the subject MUST be your cat
